Quick catch up!

Hey everyone! I know I made some of you angry with my last post. That is never my intent, however, I am compelled to tell you the truth. God has a purpose and a plan for each and every one of you. Fornication or sex outside of marriage only robs you of God's best! It does not make Him love you less, but it robs you of His blessings. It also keeps you from fulfilling the purpose. The very reason you are here on this earth. And it is SIN - Sin keeps you from God's presence. Some of you need to go to a Holy Ghost service and experience His presence!

Everything God put in his Word is for our benefit.  Let me ask you... what priority do you put on reading or listening to the Word? What priority do you put on prayer??  These two things are what will sustain you in this life.  Are you an active member in the body? Do you serve somewhere? Whoever decided that is okay for you to not attend church lied to you!  Church is where you are continually fed, but it was never supposed to be your only meal a week.

I will be honest and tell you that I have not found my place here in Cleveland. I miss my church in Atlanta. I miss my Pastors and I miss my friends.  Life here is different than what I expected it to be, but I know this is a lesson and I'm seeking God to learn all that He has for us in this place.  My area of service currently is in prayer. God called me to pray for the services back when Miss Zona was still living. So for the majority of the service I am praying. I pray outside the sanctuary until the message and then pray in my seat during the rest.  I tried to not pray each service, but I'm compelled by the Spirit to intercede. That is the only explanation I have. I am compelled to pray.

Larry and I also serve at the Community Soup Kitchen as part of Larry's commitment with New Life Bible College.  I will be very happy when the appropriate decisions are made regarding the school. Will you join me in praying for the school and the church?  In case you were not aware, the Pastor of the church who was also the Dean of the school, passed away the day before Thanksgiving.  They only brought in a new Pastor recently and still no appointment at the school.

I would really covet your prayers for us. The school is great and I see my sweet husband changing before my eyes. He is working so hard. He works full time at Publix and attends school Monday through Friday from 8-12. When he is home he is studying, or reading and always doing homework, Sometimes I wonder how he does so much with so little sleep! My husband was a master sleeper before we moved here. He could sleep 9-12 hours. I'm a 7 hour girl and I'm up, although 8 hours has crept up on me here and there.  Now, Larry goes most of the time on 4-5 hours because he stays up late to do homework or he gets up early to do homework before school. He amazes me.  He will graduate in May with his certificate and we are seeking the Lord as of next steps.  Do we stay another year? I'm sure we will know in due season.  There is an opening we are praying about with a church in Florida, but right now we do not have a leading either way.

Is there anything I can pray for you about? Any special prayer requests? I'm so enjoying my time in prayer lately. I have had some wonderful moments this week where His Glory filled my prayer closet. He has been speaking to me about a mantle of His Glory. I'm still studying that one. That is it for this post. I'm working on part 2 and I will have some answers about my book after my internship is up.

Much love,

Carla
